Acupuncture is the insertion of fine, single-use needles into specific points located on the body which have the ability to alleviate symptoms and eliminate their cause.
Every time a needle is inserted and stimulated, we are asking your body to engage in its innate ability to heal itself. This is accomplished by regulating the flow of “Qi” (chee), blood, and body fluids which course through pathways that cover your body.
Qi is the vital substance that is responsible for influencing physiological functions of the body to keep the individual in a state of harmony and balance. It is a statement of fact, according to the Chinese proverb that "when there is pain, there is no free flow of qi; when there is free flow of qi, there is no pain."
Appointment may include Chinese Dietary Therapy, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Gua Sha, Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupunture, Moxibustion, Qi Gong, Tui Na.
We do not accept insurance but can provide you with itemized bills to submit to your insurance company.

Cupping is one of the oldest methods of treatment in traditional Chinese medicine. A vacuum is created within glass cups by means of heat and applied to specific areas being treated. Drawing up the skin and underlying tissue is believed to open up the skin’s pores, creating a way to release toxins, stimulate the flow of blood, and balance the flow of qi.
Possible conditions that cupping may be used to treat include: bronchitis, asthma; arthritis; gastrointestinal disorders; and certain musculoskeletal conditions.
This adjunctive technique may cause some swelling and bruising on the skin where the cups are applied. These bruises are usually painless and disappear within a two-three days of treatment.
